Prior to joining the firm, Brian was serving as an independent fractional CFO / COO for multiple companies, most recently in Managed IT services and two construction companies. Over the previous 9 years, Brian has assisted 15 companies in a variety of industries, focusing on professional services, light manufacturing and construction. Before beginning his consulting career, Brian was a corporate attorney with over 18 years of experience, including at leading Silicon Valley firms (Brobeck, Cooley, DLA Piper). He focused his law practice on pre-public venture financing and executive compensation, and later at Cornerstone Law Group (which he founded), general corporate representation. Brian’s ability to negotiate and minimize outside legal expenses has been an important value add to his clients. Brian earned a B.A. and M.A in Accounting from The Catholic University of America, a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and an LL.M. (Tax) from New York University.
