William (Bill) Fowler is a highly experienced business owner, executive and lawyer. He has been a Hardesty LLC partner since 2012. Most recently he was Managing Partner of Compliance Datalytics which provides litigation risk management and regulatory compliance services to mid-market companies. He developed this expertise as a lawyer with over twenty-five years’ experience responding to California, US and International compliance regulations with Cisco Systems and public sector entities and as and owner and General Counsel of an automotive aftermarket manufacturer and reseller, and as Executive Producer for the SOMM documentary series, and SommTV working alongside other wineries, distilleries, manufacturers, billion-dollar distribution firms and retailers.

Previously he was Vice President, General Counsel with Profit Recovery Partners LLC working on innovative approaches to expense reduction and management incorporating IT enabled strategies for large law, manufacturers, engineering and architecture firms serving private and public-sector markets worldwide.

Bill served on the Board of Directors for SchoolWires up through its sale to Black Board Inc, and Epsilen until its sale to Ellucian and as an independent consultant had multiple engagements with multinational firms. He worked in-house at Cisco Systems for 14 years as Senior Director of Cisco’s Global Education Group and Managing Partner for Cisco’s Internet Business Solutions Group consulting with large enterprises and governments globally in the areas of business innovation, compliance, organizational optimization and cloud technologies.

He is a published freelance writer and Executive Producer and Founder at Forgotten Man Films which has released award winning documentaries including SOMM, SOMM into the Bottle, SOMM III, Wait for Your Laugh and coming in 2019, The Delicacy and SOMM TV.

He has a Bachelor of Science, University of Arizona, Juris Doctor, Western State University. He is a Digital Vision Fellow at Stanford University, has served as a jurist for the Index Design for Life Awards and has received the Robert Mills Award from the Smithsonian.
